Remote Control Technologies Supporting Reconstruction in Syria and Ukraine

News

Recently, the Embassy of Japan in Turkey 🇯🇵, in collaboration with Soliton, organized a two-day workshop in Ankara, aimed at supporting reconstruction efforts in Syria  and Ukraine . The event brought together leading Turkish construction companies to introduce cutting-edge technologies for teleoperation with ultra-low latency.

During the workshop, Soliton demonstrated its unique solution, powered by Zao SDK and the RASCOW protocol, which offers encrypted, low-latency communication for remote control of heavy machinery such as cranes and excavators 🚜. This technology transforms manual systems into autonomous ones, enabling significant cost savings by reducing the need for new equipment and ensuring driver safety in high-risk areas.

Why RASCOW and Zao SDK Matter:
RASCOW Protocol: Designed for reliable, ultra-low-latency data transmission, RASCOW ensures seamless operation even in unstable network environments, making it ideal for war-affected regions where consistent internet connectivity is a challenge.
Zao SDK: A cutting-edge software development kit enabling live video streaming and data transfer with high encryption. It powers remote operations by providing smooth, real-time control over machinery in the most demanding environments.
One of the highlights of the workshop was a live demonstration where participants remotely operated a miniature car 🚗 located in Amsterdam from the workshop venue in Ankara. This hands-on experience showcased the potential of Zao SDK and RASCOW in enabling reliable and secure teleoperation with near-zero latency.

By leveraging these technologies, regions affected by conflict can rebuild faster, safer, and more efficiently, minimizing risks to workers while maximizing productivity.

Soliton remains committed to advancing teleoperation technologies, supporting reconstruction efforts not only in Japan but also globally, including in Syria and Ukraine.
